Service to Nation
Commander Robert F. Casagrand has over thirty-two (32) years of service to our nation in the US Navy Reserve. He has been deployed twice to the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Robert is currently the Commander for NCHB4 Charleston Weapons Station.
School Director Accomplishments include:
- Vice President of the Board
- Chief Negotiator for the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Business Manager labor contracts
- Negotiation committee member for the Teacher Contract. Key initiatives included healthcare reform to mandate teacher co-pay for benefits. Held the line on teacher salaries. While bargaining unit went on strike for 11 days, Bob maintained fair bargaining position resulting in mutually beneficial teacher contract for the taxpayers as well as the teacher's union.
- Chairman of the Facilities Committee. Oversaw two building construction projects during high growth period in the district. Additions done on time and within budget at the Keith Valley Middle School and the Hatboro-Horsham High School.
- Appointed as the board representative to the Eastern Montgomery Vocational Technical School for two terms.
- Member of the Personnel Committee.

- Married 26 years to Susan Casagrand, also a lifelong resident of Horsham Township.
- Two daughters - Kristin (18) a Sophomore studying Biology at Furman Univerisity and Nicole (14) who will be entering 9th grade at Hatboro-Horsham High School in the fall.
- 1977 graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School along with Susan
- Education includes a Pennsylvania State University Masters of Public Administration in Contract Management (1989)
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Chester University
- Employed by Lockheed Martin Corporation for 16 years
